tabbed browsing: great
speed of UI: not. it takes 30 seconds to load the first time i use it per logon. the time goes down each time you load it, but its annoying when it takes 10 seconds to go from appearing to appeared. it might not be IE7 itself, but i have no spyware (major cause of internet slowness)

although, the web hasn't warmed to the idea of tabbed pages yet - and there's no option to force page links into a new tab, rather than a new window - though i think there's a hotkey for it (Alt or Ctrl+Click) that works for every link.

anyone following me around here must think i'm an optimist: ive yet to post something positive about IE7, Windows Live messenger or Media Player 11 - all 3 are graphically nice but slow.
so to correct that, IE7 is great. as a hobbyist web developer it supports new features and is much easier to work with.

Will join you on saying that IE7 is definitely worth it!

Definitely consumes a lot less processor usage than FF.
